AAT Courses in Bookkeeping and Accounting

If you are planning to be an accountant or want to develop the bookkeeping skills for your business, need a professional qualification or looking to set up your bookkeeping practice, AAT bookkeeping training courses cover everything you need to know.

The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is the UK's leading professional body for entry-level accountants. Suppose you seek to develop real-life skills to help you build a career in accounting or finance, studying for your AAT qualification. KBM Training will help you reach your future goals.

AAT is the world's leading professional body for accounting technicians. With international recognition, and recognition from sponsoring bodies such as CIPFA, ICAEW and ICAS, it is widely acknowledged as the established industry standard for technical accounting ability. The AAT accounts for around 80% of all vocational accountancy qualifications, with organisations like Morgan Stanley, Sainsbury's, P&G, the Ministry of Defence and many more continuing to hire AAT-qualified members.

The AAT qualification provides you with complete skills and essential knowledge on managing business books, including manual double-entry bookkeeping, associated documents, and process. This qualification develops the skills required to enable you to process bookkeeping transactions and prepare accounts for partnership and sole traders. It provides a solid foundation for all students for any junior accounting roles. These courses will help you enter the workforce in a financial accounting department or as a self-employed bookkeeper.

We at KBM offer all the AAT qualifications at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. These qualifications provide training for various accounting and finance roles and are respected by employers worldwide. With multiple locations across London, we offer weekdays and weekend classes. If you want to see each course's detailed content, follow the links below.

The AAT full membership (MAAT) is an internationally recognised professional status in accounting and finance. It demonstrates a high standard of education and experience to employers and clients, along with a commitment to development and keeping your skills current.

We provide work placement opportunities to all our AAT students in our partner company KBM Chartered Certified Accountants & Registered Auditors, to gain Accountancy Work Experience (PER). The is ACCA Gold Level partner.

We are also a recruitment firm, preparing candidates for any level of accountancy job. Our strong links with the top employers make it easier for us to place our candidates into positions straight after the work placement, from entry-level accounting roles to complex accounting disciplines; our training opens the route into accounting for all levels.

Why are practical skills essential?

Though theoretical knowledge of any course you study is essential, practical training in financial processes provides a greater understanding and experience in accounting tasks. Incorporating accounting principles with practical skills into your studies is proven to help you retain knowledge and get a better feel of your work when you get employed. Employers are reluctant to hire an inexperienced fresh graduate with an impressive academic record. They prefer someone with experience, ready to work from day one, without needing to be trained.

All our training is delivered on a one-to-one basis and is hands-on. You will work on actual documents using accounting software used by most organisations in the UK under the supervision of Certified Chartered Accountants.

You will be given a guaranteed opportunity at the end of your training to work as a Work Placement trainee in one of our partner companies.

KBM provides practical training on software like Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, QuickBooks, VT, IRIS, Excel and many more. We will also install the Sage 50 Accounts software on your laptops for Free.

At the end of the training, we will help and guide you to prepare your professional CV and prepare you for interviews. This training programme reflects as a work experience on your CV.

  • Bookkeeping
